Now I'm all for peace and for fighting with words But if you ain't gonna listen then you're gonna get burned I am a non violent anti-petroleum man in my non violent anti petroleum band If you care to join in we'll sing it louder than most you stay outta my rivers get the hell off my coast Cause I ain't goin' nowhere Now I've told you once and i'll tell you again Sooner or later this is all gonna end With you packing up your things, leaving this town And all that'll be left will be your little holes in the ground And I'll fill em' in it's the least I could do Thinking I'll plant a couple cedars maybe a spruce or two Cause I ain't goin nowhere Now I've had enough of your inconsiderate ways Your twisted words and all the slithery things that you say So come down from your castle way up in the sky Put your feet in the dirt and lets look eye to eye If you don't I'll build a ladder of all the people I've met Come up and teach y'all a lesson you won't ever forget I ain't going nowhere

Little rivers matter too They need love like me and you Maybe you'll find a little salmon in there, maybe you'll find a toad Maybe you'll find a crab or two be sure to follow it where it goes Pause for minute, go get lost within it, go wandering with the stream Slow down, take your time and maybe you'll find Little rivers matter too They need love like me and you If you take a second and just think about it Even the biggest rivers under the sun Are really just the product of a bunch of littler rivers All coming together as one I'm thinking it's about time that we all start doing the same Quit pushing away the love, start embracing the change Little rivers matter too They need love like me and you

Incase you haven't noticed or forgot to see It's all one big coast looks connected to me Never once does it end not even around Peru It keeps us all together like me like you I can feel it in the air, I can feel it in my feet Feel it in the ocean, the salt water's sweet I can hear it when the birds sing a beautiful song Then the people stop fighting and they all get along And then they fight for the clouds and fight for the tress They fight for the ocean, they fight for the bees They fight for each other and they fight for the land And they never stop fighting till they've done what they can Cause there ain't no planet B, no foreign star And even if there was it would be way too far So take care of where you're from, care of what you see I'll take care of you, you'll take care of me I am so far from where I'm from I got so much farther to go But I could throw a boat down in the water And the river's gonna bring me home I’ll blow every light in the city just to show you the stars To make sure everyone understands exactly where we are Extremely far away from anywhere else to live This is all that we’ve got and so back we’ve got to give If tomorrow we wake and the water did rise Are we gonna sit around talking and wondering why We didn’t act a little sooner, think a little faster Look far into the future try to avoid this disaster Cause lately i’ve been having just the strangest of dreams It’s the world through the eyes of what my kids will see And sometime it’s incredible, wild and free But these days it’s getting darker and darker it seems So it’s time to come together, quit pushing each other away Forget about what makes us different it’s about what makes us the same And when we see it it’ll result in the most incredible change It can’t wait until tomorrow, it’s gotta be today I am so far from where I'm from I got so much farther to go But I could throw a boat down in the water And the river's gonna bring me home From north to south it’s really all the same It’s like one big river being fed by the rain And there’s some people who know it cause there the ones saying That they’d die for the land and you know they ain’t playing And I’ll be right there beside them standing so tall That even harper can’t miss this proverbial wall Of thousands of people, both young and old Who are simply tired of listening and doing what they’re told So starting today it’s the fight for tomorrow Knowing this place is my kids and it’s from them that I borrow All the water in the rivers, the lakes and the streams From the top of the mountain to the bottom of the sea I would die for this place and all that it gives And only then can I say that i’ve actually lived And if you’ll stand there beside me I’ll take the hits Just say we can do it, that’s it. I am so far from where I'm from I got so much farther to go But I could throw a boat down in the water And the river's gonna bring me home

I've traveled my fair share of roads And from this I've learned to know That o' in the end well I've still got my friends They're with me wherever I go I've had enough of all of the lies All the fracking, the drilling, the look in the eyes Of all of the kids who can't breath the air All the greedy old rich men that don't even care I've traveled my fair share of roads And from this I've learned to know That o' in the end well I've still got my friends They're with me wherever I go When you can't drink the water and can't breath the air You can chew on your money, that only seems fair Then you'll beg for some water from the rivers we saved Ration each breath till your very last day I've traveled my fair share of roads And from this I've learned to know That o' in the end well I've still got my friends They're with me wherever I go My door's always open for whatever Be a tune for tomorrow, a song for the sea Give voice to the people that need to be heard To all of the orca's, the trees and the birds I've traveled my fair share of roads And from this I've learned to know That o' in the end well I've still got my friends They're with me wherever I go

I don’t have any money and probably won’t any time soon I spent it all on this record and keeping my banjo in tune Cause man, strings expensive and so is booze I’d probably be wasted if I had a dollar to lose But I don’t so I wait till i’m with you to get Y’all lift me up and remind me why I wake up in the morning, why I lose sleep at night It’s the rush that comes when a thousand voices collide I’m learning quite quickly to just completely ignore Those that live for money and look for nothing more Cause I told you man all I got are these songs that I wrote Scratched right on to plywood, receipts and sticky notes And maybe one day I’ll find a beautiful girl but for now I consider myself The wealthiest man in the world Cause if I’ve got you, if i’ve got you then I’m alright If I’ve got you, if i’ve got you then I’m alright If I emptied out my pockets you might be surprised to see That there’s not much in there, which is very unlike me Usually I’m prepared for the most varying of situations Like getting stuck on a mountain or presenting to the nation And I suppose if you gave me, the chance to do either I’d take a deep breath and give a gentle reminder That the dust that makes up even your strongest of bones Once lay in a star until one day it explodes So stay rooted my friends don’t forget where you’re from It’s this planet that made you and it’s the only one And I guess what I’m saying is that my pockets are empty But not cause I’m complacent or because I’m overspending It’s cause I needed to find a way to play you this song To bring some people together, make some rights out of wrongs I’ll bring em all together, turn this thing around It doesn’t have to end like this, nobodies’ gotta drown But it’s gotta be you and it’s gotta be now It’s gotta be forever and I can show you how It’ll take little courage, a whole lot of love And you can be damn right certain it ain’t gonna fit like a glove At least not at first man it’s gonna take time It’ll take million voices, one million minds And then maybe one day I’ll find a beautiful girl But for now I consider myself The wealthiest man in the world Cause if I’ve got you, if i’ve got you then I’m alright If I’ve got you, if i’ve got you then I’m alright I’m learning quite quickly to just completely ignore Those that live for money and look for nothing more Cause I told you man all I got are these songs that I wrote Scratched right on to plywood, receipts and sticky notes
